College, high school basketball tips off
If you're a fan of roundball action, Ridgeline TV Channel 99 is the place to be this season! Coverage of Young Harris College Mountain Lions basketball has already begun, with the college's homecoming game on Saturday, November 12th. From now until late February, Ridgeline TV will air 23 Mountain Lions home games, with Ethan Burch and Tommy Jenkins as commentators. Those games will be streamed live on YHC's athletics website (www.yhcathletics.com) and aired the following day and throughout the week on Ridgeline TV Channel 99.
In addition, about 20 high school games will be broadcast throughout the season. A number of regular season games with the Union County Panthers and Towns County Indians will be televised this year, along with extensive coverage of the annual Battle of the States Christmas Tournament. Games involving local teams - including the Hayesville Yellowjackets - will be broadcast on Channel 99.

RidgeTrack NEXRAD Doppler Radar added
Ridgeline TV Channel 99 has added RidgeTrack NEXRAD Doppler Radar to the locally-based channel. RidgeTrack NEXRAD Radar provides a detailed radar view specifically for the area. RidgeTrack NEXRAD Radar can zoom in to show storms approaching the Union, Towns and Clay county areas. Severe thunderstorm, tornado and flood warnings are also indicated.
Depending on the severity of an incoming storm, RidgeTrack NEXRAD Radar can be displayed fullscreen over programming, or through picture-in-picture mode, with a programming window and radar window both displayed onscreen. RidgeTrack NEXRAD Radar is the perfect companion to Ridgeline TV's weather forecasts and current weather conditions, says Ridgeline TV owner Jon C. Moon. Forecasts on Ridgeline TV are currently shown in two different ways. A brief icon forecast is shown in the "InfoZone" area every two to three minutes. A more detailed text forecast airs periodically during Ridgeline TV's many local shows, movies and westerns, generally about six times per hour.
