Crawl Creator project

Crawl Creator is a free program to create and schedule text crawls for MasterPlay, Slideshow digital signage app for Android (https://slideshow.digital) or any system that uses a text file.

The program was created using the FileMaker Pro database engine (Runtime version) and is fairly basic and mostly self-explanatory. You are free to download and use the program at your station. After you download and unzip the program file, place the CRAWL CREATOR folder wherever you choose. (The program does not install to your program folder.) Open the folder and click on CRAWL-CREATOR-1.2.2.exe to launch the program. There are already a few records entered for examples.

Schedule parameters include: START TIME, STOP TIME, START DATE, STOP DATE and selectable DAYS. You can manually update the crawl file, or turn UPDATE ON and updates will be bult every 30 - 120 minutes, depending on your UPDATE INTERVAL selection.

The crawl.txt and crawl.xml files are stored in the /crawl/ folder by default, but you can select any folder through the PREFERENCES screen.

Files can also be transferred by built-in FTP.
